Cat Injuries – I am often asked what type of cat injuries would I use Traumeel on.

The answer is very simply – I would use it on virtually all everyday injuries.

Even if you are unsure of what the problem is, you can still use Traumeel as a first aid treatment and then go and see your vet for further investigations if needed.

You will never do any harm using Traumeel – and in many cases it will help prevent the problem from getting worse and be treating it, while you are seeking additional help.

The Downside of Using Traumeel on Your Cat

The only down side is the cost and time involved. Well lets look at these:-

1.) The time to either massage in some Traumeel Gel or give them someĀ  Traumeel drops in their food/water – pretty insignificant but it may help your cat.
2.) The cost of Traumeel – it is inexpensive, one tube of Traumeel Gel or one bottle of the Traumeel drops lasts for ages. It is much cheaper than veterinary bills and cheaper and safer than veterinary medicines in most cases.
3.) It is safe and will not upset your cat – no matter what other treatment you do, it can still be used alongside other treatments.

Examples of Cat Injuries when I would Use Traumeel

  • Bite Wounds

  • Puncture Wounds
  • Insect Stings
  • Lameness and Swelling from a Fall
  • Small Burns
  • After Spaying
  • As a 1st Aid Treatment after falls
  • Swellings
  • Muscle Sprains
  • Ligament Damage
  • After Fractures
  • Gungey Eyes
  • Cuts & Wounds
  • Upset Stomachs

Larger open wounds and deeper burns where the injury needs dressing – use Manuka Honey 10+ and a little Traumceel Ointment before dressing with a non-adherent dressing.

N.B.

This is not to say with any of these type of injuries that Traumeel can replace a vets visit, but with small injuries you may well be able to treat them yourself, with more serious injuries you will need veterinary help, but as a 1st aid treatment Traumeel can help enormously – before and after vet visits.
