Just a quick post on how we use Traumeel with colds and flu.
Athough Traumeel is not a cold remedy as such it still has helped us and it has its place. So although there are many combination homeopathic remedies on the market for colds and flu so often one does not have them when you need them.
As I always keep Traumeel in our medicine cupboard because of its many uses, we have ended up experimenting using it with colds and flu like symptoms.
Traumeel Drops for Nose Irritation
In fact it was my youngest daughter who found that if you use Traumeel drops around your nose when you have a cold, the drops have the effect of calming the skin area all around the nose.
This area I find especially with children, but also with adults when they have colds can get very sore and agitated. We have found the Traumeel drops really help relieve and settle this area.
How to Use the Drops
You apply the drops neat onto a piece of cotton wool and then just hold the cotton wool padaround the nostrils and sides of the nose for a few minutes. Initially it stings, once it stops stinging you can then remove it, at which stage it sort of warms the area and helps clear the nostrils and inflamed tissues around the nose.
You can also use the Traumeel OIntment on dry skin around the nose which is often the end symptom of a cold coming from mucos etc and constantly blowing the nose, very quickly the dry skin heals.
Traumeel Ointment & Dry Skin Around the Nose
You can also use the Traumeel OIntment on dry skin around the nose which is often the end symptom of a cold coming from mucos etc and constantly blowing the nose. The skin dry skin heals very quickly once you start applying it a few times a day.
The Traumeel Ointment also acts as a barrier so if you use it at the early stages of a cold it can prevent the skin from drying out.
Chest Congestion and Traumeel
Then if you are chesty or have a chesty cold – you can rub in the Traumeel Ointment on your chest – this helps keep it clear and helps prevent the cold from developing. I would still use herbal cough mixtures etc alongside the Traumeel.
Again out of convenience – I always have it, its safe, inexpensive and lasts for ages, so over the years we have experimented and found many uses for it…!
